in response to the tidbit.. I'm as big a Ferrell fan as any, and I love me some Ali G, but I think we have enough of the same ol same ol from Ferrell. I'd like to see him in some more serious roles, like in Stranger than Fiction.
But RDJ Sherlock Holmes movie? I'm there. |

DANIEL-DAY LEWIS WOULD BE A GREAT HOLMES
If he wasn't preparing for the musical Nine with Rob Marshall, I'd say the perfect casting would be DDL as Sherlock and Downey Jr. as Watson, as Sherlock was pretty tall and Watson was shorter. Also that is more authentic, as Day-Lewis is 6-2 and is a Brit as well. Obviously this cannot be, but in a perfect mind's eye, I think that would be great. |

RDJ rules... Crowe is pretty amazing, but who the f does Gerard Butler think he is? I'm pretty happy to hear he won't be in this film because I think he's a bit on the overacting side, but I can't believe he'd turn such a big role down. |

I always loved Sherlock Holmes, but I'm not sure about Guy Ritchie. I'll still give it a chance.
Since when is Downey one of the best actors of his generation? |

ROBIN HOOD!
I say get RDJ into Ridley Scott's Nottingham (2009). RDJ as an antagonistic Robin Hood against Russel Crowe would make Nottingham a definite must see! Can Downey pull off the accent? |

I AGREE
I am fine with the reinvention or whatever theyre calling it, but I also think a comedic take on holmes would be great, especially with those two involved... fingers crossed. |

AWESOME!
Crowe as Moriarty would be pretty sweet, I'm getting more and more excited about this, and I have to agree with you on also being excited about the Ferrell/Cohen Sherlock Holmes project thats gonna kick ass as well. |
