Even with a fat-suit, patchy beard, and a bald head, Tom Cruise is still infinitely better looking than my friend Joe McLaren, and Joe’s a male model, so that’s saying something. But what is Tom Cruise doing dressed like that? It looks like he’s filming a James Lipton biopic, but not quite. This is actually Cruise’s look for his cameo as a studio head in Ben Stiller’s upcoming comedy TROPIC THUNDER. The cameo was rumoured for a while, and since I was trained at birth to believe absolutely everything I hear, his cameo was already a sure thing in my mind. That’s why seeing these pics is just so goddamn satisfying. I am however a little disconcerted by Cruise’s pale skin and flabby looking arms. Seeing your favourite action stars succumb to age is always a sad thing. Click on the picture to see more, and you can catch TROPIC THUNDER in theaters next year.

Extra Tidbit: Other cameos in this film include Nick Nolte, Mos Def, Katie Holmes, Matthew McConaughey and Steeve Coogan.

I wonder how much the prickarazzi got for that shot?

Tom looks like he's about to start a Russian revolution.

I think this is going to be "THE" Ben Stiller movie. Right after Zoolander.

Who knows, maybe this'll be more than the average Stiller flick. Or maybe it's just one of those things that they do sometimes sort of as a joke, have a well-known actor show up in a bit part that is unlike anything one would normally expect them to do, giving five minutes of life to a dead weight film, or going down with it. But I'm optimistic.

You sure that's Tom?
Couldn't it just be a fat guy wearing a mask, Mission Impossible style?
I mean, he was pretty big in MI3 .. That's a while back, but still..
