Update: Artwork added!
On October 9th Little Shop of Horrors, the 1986 adaption of the cult-classic off-Broadway musical based off a Roger Corman flick, is coming to Blu-ray by way of a "Director's Cut" that features a 20-minute alternate ending!
The theatrical version will also be included in this Blu-ray Digibook release.
The flick stars a myriad of comedic greats including Rick Moranis, John Candy, Steve Martin, Christopher Guest and Bill Murray and one man-eating plant voiced by Levi Stubbs of the Four Tops. Yup, talking man-eating plant.
Here's the synopsis for the unfamiliar (you don't know what you're missing!):
"Seymour (Moranis) is a nerdy orphan working at Mushnik's, a flower shop in urban Skid Row. He harbors a crush on fellow co-worker Audrey (Ellen Greene) and is berated by Mr. Mushnik daily. One day as Seymour finds a very mysterious unidentified plant which he calls Audrey II. The plant seems to have a craving for blood and soon begins to sing for his supper. Soon enough, Seymour feeds Audrey's sadistic dentist boyfriend (Martin) to the plant and later, Mushnik for witnessing the death of Audrey's ex. Will Audrey II take over the world or will Seymour and Audrey defeat it?"
If you're a lonely florist and your best friend just happens to be a talking, man-eating plant that says "feed me" ... you may want to switch careers.
