Drink, Play, F*ck

Warner Bros. has acquired the rights to the movie DRINK, PLAY, F*CK, which surprisingly is NOT about the JoBlo.com trip to Comic-Con (just kidding wives of the JoBlo crew). The film will actually be based on the novel by Andrew Gottlieb and is a masculine retort to the popular chick-lit memoir “Eat, Pray, Love.” The story follows Bob Sullivan, a recently dumped guy who decides to get wasted in Ireland, gamble in Vegas and go on a sex tourism jaunt to Thailand. The film is based on a book of the same name that will hit bookshelves early next year. Part of the appeal of the book though is its catchy and raunchy title that will have to be altered for release. Do you try to come up with a clever euphemism or just scrap the title altogether and go with something different? Not surprisingly EAT, PRAY, LOVE is also in development at Paramount with Julia Roberts set to produce and star. Gottleib is currently working on the IFC original series “Z Rock,” which premieres later this month.
