I’m shocked that George Lucas has gone and pissed off his fan base again...okay, not really. This time with the failure to release the Indiana Jones films on Blu-ray. I understand it takes time to polish them up and make them look good, but I think everyone can agree that if he wanted to do it, he very well could have.
Have a question about DVD’s, Blu-rays or anything regarding home theaters? Send in your questions to:dvddoctor@joblo.com
So it’s great that the fourth Indiana Jones is coming out on bluray, but why aren’t they releasing the other films on bluray? Are there any plans to release them any time soon? – Thanks, Lou
Well, maybe you haven’t been paying attention to George Lucas’s marketing tactics over the past ten years, but basically, his goal is to milk every last penny out of fans. So it makes perfect sense that he would delay the release of the first three Indy films on Blu in order to take advantage of you at a later date.

Expect a complete Blu-ray set at some point in the future.
Rumors have been swirling around for a while, but no official date has been set. My guess is that we can expect them some time either in May or next fall, probably available in one large set. I say that because Lucas traditionally releases sets right before Father’s Day or in the fall before Christmas.
I bought a brand new Samsung blu-ray player at Sam’s club and I’ve had nothing but problems with it. It’s probably just my imagination, but the picture doesn’t look as clear as it should. I have friends that have similar set-ups and their pictures look much better. Did I get a bad player? Let me know if you have any suggestions. Thanks - Chris
Well, before we get too worried, make sure you have everything set up properly. Ensure that your player is set to output to 1080p and your TV is set to receive 1080p. Make sure the cables are connected properly and everything is properly ventilated.
If you have everything set up correctly and you feel confident that the problem doesn’t fall on the setup, you might want to re-think that Sam’s Club player. Every couple of years, 20/20 or some other news program will run a story proving that Sam’s Club products are not equal to the products you buy at regular stores. To be honest, I’ve never taken the time to test any Sam’s product against any other product, but it bothers me enough that I’ve never bought any electronics there. I’ve had other readers write in and say they’ve had problems with their Sam’s club Blu-ray players, so you might want to try and take it back. Spend the extra $20 and get it at regular chain and leave Sam's Club for the 20lb jar of Twizzlers.
