I dig cool packaging as much as the next guy, but I still get frustrated when I have to have a movie off to the side because it doesn’t fit on the shelf with the others. I think a good rule for studios would be to have whatever kind of packaging they want, as long as they have the standard packaging somewhere in there.

Hey, so i finally decided to catch up on my collection of the Simpsons dvds. i have the first four and went to go buy the next few, when i noticed that season six is the homer head. Now i know from six to ten they did the limited edition head cases, and the last two have a variant of that, but those cases suck. i looked and looked but for some reason all but season six have the original box sets available. since i'm trying to get all of the box type cases i was wondering am i tripping when i can't find that version or am i assed out and its just not offered anymore? -andres

I had forgotten all about the fiasco that was season six of the Simpsons. I was so PISSED when that first came out. Let me give you the back story on that. They decided to do the plastic head thing, starting with season 6. But almost as soon as it was announced, fans cried foul. So to accommodate, they made a special cardboard packaging available that you could send off for. So if you bought season 6, there was a special insert that allowed you to order the alternative package. Unfortunately, I don’t know if that insert is still included, or if there are any still available.

Hey DVD Dr, Any clue when Pulp Fiction will be released on Blu-ray? I havent heard any news and was wondering if you had any idea when to expect this. Thanks - Eric

I think a lot of people want this on Blu-ray.

You know those previews you see in the beginning of every Blu-ray and DVD? The ones that show a bunch of movies and advertise how great Blu-ray is? Well, some Buena Vista discs have clips from PULP FICTION in them and at the end of the preview, where it says “Coming Soon to Blu-ray”, it has PULP FICTION listed. Disney/Miramax have announced an August 4th date for the disc but so far no special features have been announced.
