Now why wouldn't Warner Home Video release the Fame (1980) Blu-ray when the remake was out in theaters? Because then what would they release when the remake was out on home video? Though no official word has come on Fame '09's DVD/BD release, you can expect it to line up fairly nicely with the original's January BD street date. Alan Parker's musical includes the popular songs "Out Here On My Own," "I Sing the Body Electric," and the title track, which won the Academy Award for Best Original Song and was ranked the 51st greatest movie song by the American Film Institute. Live forever on January 26th.
