Third time's a charm. But in this case, it's a charm to the anti-Apatow. We're few, but we're proud, and now we have at least some ammunition when we knock the writer-director-producer-etc. We applaud and thank Judd Apatow for resurrecting the R-rated comedy, but do his movies need to be so long and repetitive? Funny People, which runs somewhere around four-and-a-half hours, stars Seth Rogen and Adam Sandler (figure out the irony of the title?) as an up-and-coming comedian and a millionaire actor/comedian, respectively, who develop a bond when the latter is diagnosed with leukemia. Also starring Leslie Mann and Eric Bana. Funny People comes to DVD and Blu-ray* on November 24th.
