American Pie

Official artwork and trailer added!

So we know there's three American Pie movies with the original characters. You have the first, the second and the American Pie Wedding travesty. But did you know there are four different "franchise" movies with the "American Pie Presents" title? It's true. You have American Pie Presents: Band Camp (2005), American Pie Presents: The Naked Mile (2006), American Pie Presents: Beta House (2007) and the latest, American Pie Presents: The Book of Love (2009). Book of Love stars, I shit you not, Eugene Levy, Bret Michaels, Kevin Federline, Rosanna Arquette, Tim Matheson (Animal House), C. Thomas Howell (The Outsiders, The Hitcher), Christopher Knight (“The Brady Bunch”), Steve Railsback (“Helter Skelter,” The Stunt Man), Robert Romanus (Fast Times at Ridgemont High), Curtis Armstrong (Revenge of the Nerds), Dustin Diamond (“Saved by the Bell”). All right, major douche chills right now. Does it matter with the plot is? See the clusterf*ck on December 22nd.

This is just ludicrous. I'm a huge fan of the original three American Pie movies and what I love is that they're genuinely funny (at least I think so), but there is just a little seriousness in certain aspects to give it that special touch so that it resonates. In fact I honestly wouldn't mind a 4th installment to the real franchise--with Jim and Michelle having a baby or something like that, but these constant straight-to-video, frat boy-esque "sequels" are just horrorofic and completely pointless. Please, for the love of God, NO MORE!!!
