The last two articles the DVD Clinic wrote about Tyler Perry started out: "Tyler Perry's like the black, annoying Woody Allen, pumping out a movie-a-year that will appeal to about 500 people, none of whom I've met," and "Is it just me, or is Tyler Perry the most annoying thing to happen to independent movies since Nia Vardalos? Tyler Perry's this and Tyler Perry's that--what's next, Tyler Perry's Blue Cheese Salad Dressing?" We here at the DVD Clinic stand by our statements. But we also get paid to let readers know that his movies do come to DVD and Blu-ray. His latest, I Can Do Bad All By Myself, is based off of Perry's play of the same name and stars Perry, Taraji P. Henson, Adam Rodriguez, Mary J. Blige, and...Gladys Knight?! Do bad all by yourself on January 12th, 2010.
