I really thought we were going to get a trailer for THE FANTASTIC MR. FOX on ICE AGE 3. I mean why not? Well I guess the answer to that was that Fox shuffled MR. FOX on over to Searchlight and decided to devote their trailer time to a 20th Century release, ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS 2.
It should come as no surprise that we're infinitely more interested in MR. FOX than CHIPMUNKS 2 and we're still wondering when we'll get to see that blasted MR. FOX trailer (with 500 DAYS OF SUMMER?). But for now, we're happy to pass along this first look at the titular Mr. Fox (George Clooney), Mrs. Fox (Meryl Streep) and Badger (Bill Murray).

What do you think? Do you like the look of the Fox family? Of course so much of this has to do with how the stop-motion works and what other visual flair director Wes Anderson brings to the project but I like what I'm seeing just in this little picture...

Cate Blanchett was originally set to voice Mrs. Fox but dropped out for unknown reasons.
