EXCL: Fourth Kind poster!

I was a big fan of the FOURTH KIND trailer, an alien abduction thriller that harks back to Whitley Strieber’s terrifying “Communion.” Normally stuff like this doesn’t freak me out all that much but this film is reportedly based on real events in Nome, Alaska where a disproportionate number of the population has been reported missing every year and that’s what really spooks me.

The title of the film refers to the scales of alien encounters. When a UFO is sighted, it is called an encounter of the first kind. When evidence is collected, it is known as an encounter of the second kind. When contact is made with extraterrestrials, it is the third kind. The next level, abduction, is the fourth kind.

THE FOURTH KIND actually uses never-before-seen archival footage integrated into the film’s narrative to make it extra creepy. I have a feeling this is the kind of thing that’ll give me the heebie-jeebies for weeks. We’re happy to have an exclusive first look at the film’s poster. You can click on it to see it in hi-res and when you do, please, tell me what’s going on with the dude’s head. Whatever it is, it’s bugging me out.

THE FOURTH KIND hits theaters on November 6th and you can find out more about the film and the real life experiences it is based on at the official site!
