Anna Faris might not have another SCARY MOVIE in her future, but it looks like there's another franchise following her fine form.
Faris will be the primary human in Warner Bros.' live-action/CG-animated YOGI BEAR movie (a la SCOOBY DOO, ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS, etc., etc.). She'll play a nature documentarian who pays a visit to Jellystone Park, only to encounter a mischievous talking bear with a fondness for pic-a-nic baskets and neckwear.
The studio wants Dan Aykroyd to lend his voice to the large hungry mammal, with Justin Timberlake potentially providing vocals for sidekick Boo-Boo. The project is being directed by FX guy Eric Brevig, who did the equally cartoonish JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH.
Extra Tidbit:
Yogi and several other Hanna-Barbera animal characters wore an incongruous collar so that only the head needed to be animated in much of the cartoon.
