About halfway through this new trailer for FAST AND FURIOUS, Paul Walker turns to Vin Diesel and says with a steely glare, "A lot has changed." Uhhhh no, not really. It's been eight years since the original FAST AND THE FURIOUS and we appear to be right back where we started. Same cars, same cast, same plot...hell, they kept the title and just dropped an article or two.

But before I get called out for sippin' on the haterade, I'm not saying this is a bad thing. The 2nd and 3rd FAST/FURIOUS movies tried to change a little too much and wound up being suckier for it. This trailer, and it would appear this movie, give us what we want out of a FAST AND FURIOUS movie. Shit like Vin Diesel revving his engine and gunning a car full speed at a flaming tanker truck that is rolling towards him.

The movie hits theaters this April and you can watch the new trailer below or in HD at Yahoo! Movies.

Now I am no Mark Vincent hater. Paul Walker, now him I hate.

But I gotta say - this looks good. The chase sequence is really kinetic, the plot seems solid, and even the hokey-jokey burning tanker works. Somehow.

That or I have finally lost my marbles.

sorry....
but i equate the Fast/Furious movies with the idiotic rednecks i went to high school with that thought those movies were so awesome. i know that not all white trash morons like those movies...but in the small southern town i grew up in...it sure seemed that way.

Horrible song
Great trailer. I really like how they tried selling the characters more than the cars in this teaser attempt. Definitely brings it back to the original more which had a lot to do with the characters.

Horrible choice of music. Who in the hell made soldja boy popular? They're absolutely horrible.

The trailer rocks. But let be honest, that song just doesn't go with the trailer. It just, well, doesn't. If they use rock or punk rock, that might do.

Great trailer, terrible choce of song.
The Trailer would've been fucking great if that stupid ass fucking song hadn't been there. But I think this is gonna be awesome, though hopefully that song isn't in the film or I will be mad.

I was hyped seeing just the first trailer this trailer didnt look that bad even though I hate that song.

They should have done this for 3 instead of waiting till 4.

Whoever decided to add that song in the trailer should be fired. Totally killed the trailer. Not only did it suck, it just didn't fit.

Couldn't care less about the movie really but I'll probably end up seeing it just because... the first two were ok. Never saw the third.

I loved the first one,liked the 2nd one,didn't bother with #3 but since the original 4 actor are back i'll be seeing this

Cool trailer, could've been cut to a different music though seeing as how that soulja boy song is neither fast nor furious, but all in all this movie had to be made. The first film is left totally open ended and the sequels didn't resolve anything. My only concern is why it's coming out in April. I was hoping for a mid june release like the first film. Either way I'm staying open minded and loo...

Honest, that didn't look terrible. I liked the first one as well, 2 was pretty funny in a horrible kind of way, and have only seen bits of 3.

These movies aren't made to change the way we look at film, and Mike's right. This one is going back to what made the first movie popular anyway.
