Zach Braff and Jason Bateman are two actors who made names for themselves on sitcoms that were critically acclaimed, but never quite reached the popularity they deserved. To be fair, SCRUBS lasted pretty damn long for a TV show, but ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT ended way too soon, and the galaxy is a crappier, more depressing place because of it. But now, the world of too-smart-for-their-own-good sitcoms collides as Braff and Bateman in the upcoming comedy THE EX, and we have your first look at the final poster. Braff plays Tom Reilly who goes to work for his father-in-law, only to discover that his boss Chip (Bateman) still carries a torch for his wife (Amanda Peet) from back in the day. Chip is out to get Jack and ruin his life, and series of one-ups and dirty tricks ensue. Check out the poster BELOW and CLICK TO ENLARGE.

And while I am a fan of both these actors (actually, I'm a fan of most of the cast, glad to see Grodin still working) the trailer scares me. It doesn't look to be utilizing much moronic humor, but I hate comedies where the protagonist is always making himself look bad to everyone else when the audience is rooting for him, and he's gotta make it up to everybody with a sappy apology, and go win his girlfriend back. It's cheesy, and rather torturous in my opinion, and one reason I had trouble enjoying the comedy in "Meet the Parents." If this is actually funny, aside from Fred Armisen, then good for it.
