Five TDK viral sites Nov. 23, 2007

The Dark Knight There's been surprisingly little movement on THE DARK KNIGHT front in the last few weeks - a development that's surely left some passionate fans convulsing with the black shakes. Fear not, though, as today no less than five brand-spanking new viral sites for the film have popped up. For the purpose of my convenience, I'll just list them as so:

The Gotham Times
We Are The Answer
Remembering Gina
The Ha Ha Times
Gotham National Bank

As you may have noticed, there's a Joker site in there, which is actually a sub-site of the "Gotham Times", the story of which, again for the purpose of my convenience you can find HERE. THE DARK KNIGHT faces off against the Clown Prince of Crime on July 18th. Thanks to Hegele and Paul for the heads up!

Extra Tidbit: If you got the "black shakes" reference then you and I should be friends.

take the numbers...and remember when you finished the personality test and it rated you at the end. look at the top word and find the eight letter in it. then go to the next word and then sixth. so on and so on. it will give you a word and its for an addition to an [link] thats what the numbers are for. nor for the safe. look at every letter with a blood stain on it. now solve the anagram. and read your gotham times. have fun.

As part of the ongoing investigation into corruption in the Gotham City Police Department, the officer(s) you have reported have already been suspended from duty and charged. We anticipate that these officers will be brought to trial within the next few months. Your information will certainly be considered as part of that process.

Neat... so then I figured I'd try to see if I couldn't sandbag Lt. Gordon (Gary Oldman), the man who would be commissioner Gordon. This is what I got back:
[link]

As part of the ongoing investigation into corruption in the Gotham City Police Department, the officer you have reported has been the subject of thorough investigation. Although we are not discounting any reports at this time, all evidence has shown Lieutenant Jim Gordon's conduct on the force has been above reproach.

I work in Internet and Social media marketing. I gotta say, this is impressive for a viral campaign.

I think these sites are great, but it would be even better if they incorporated actual cops from the comics. I entered "Renee Montoya" and they said there's no such officer by that name. Oh well. they deserve credit...

Yeah, this is the first real (cool) use of the Internet as an interactive tool for marketing a movie -- it's terrific!

Great work, marketing dudes :D

Oh my sick!

These guys are doing an incredibly job at hyping this movie up.

As if the fact that Christian Bale is in this movie wasn't enough to make me go watch this.

This is THE BEST advertising I have ever seen. If this movie lives up to this incredible hype, Batmania may return and those Spidey fan-boys will have some tough competition. Especially after Spidey 3.

The way they're marketing this film through the Internet is amazing. No film _ever_ has been treated like this, maybe Star Wars would have if Internet existed 1976.

Anyway, just wanted to say it's great Warner and Nolan are making The Joker into what he was from the beginning in 1940, what he was meant to be; a fucking sadistic serial killer. As for visuals... I have to say I'm still neutral. Things can still get out of hand.

there are circled phrases in hahahatimes, if you count each letter in each circle and then apply that total to each letter in the alphabet the result is that site, which is how people found it.
