Well I'll add something, I saw Mars Attacks! last night, and I've gotta admit that I still like watching him as General Decker. Shame about what happened to Decker though...

I do very much love your taste in films Antonio. I remember that from prior postings. Since the topic is 'favorite' Rod Steiger role/performance I'll spare you my top 10.

i ADORE him as Charley the Gent in ON THE WATERFRONT. The scene where he pulls the gun on Brando in an attempt to impress him w/ the seriousness of his situation is heartwrenching.

But, 2nd runner up would be his convincing turn as a russian in DR. ZHIVAGO.
