Wait, wasn't someone complaining about there not being a Downey, Jr. and Kilmer commentary? I guess they have to eat their words now.:p

the features are weak, this screams special edition down the road, but its going to be hard not to purchase this one, it was a really fun flick.

When was the last time there was an SE for a movie that grossed a third of its budget? ;)

I'd say one of the most underlooked films of last year along with Lord of War. It does have the occasional slight misstep but it's still brilliant when all is said and done. If you like stuff like L.A. Confidential and film noir-ish type movies, etc, this movie is for you (it parodies a lot of the standard film noir cliches)...easily the most entertaining movie I saw last year (and with an awesome jazzy score by John Ottman). It's really not as much about the mystery at all as it is about the great fucking dialogue though.

Perry: Look up idiot in the dictionary. You know what you'll find?
Harry: A picture of me?
Perry: No! The definition of idiot. Which you fucking are!

(better with Kilmer delivering the lines :p)

Harry: I swear to God, it's like somebody took America by the East Coast and shook it, and all the normal girls managed to hang on.

Wow, not coming out till June there? It's been available here on DVD for a few weeks now, anyways, agreed, it's a great film severely overlooked. Downey Jr and Kilmer are great together, but Michelle Monaghan really comes out of this a shining star, her performance is the definition of a breakout role. Highly recommended.
