The Monstermania is coming to Cherry Hill, NJ in May. I went 2 times before and had a good time. I met some cool people and got alot of good dvds. Also its not expensive.

There are some good guests so far such as Lance Henriksen, George Romero, Sid Haig, Jeffery Combs, Diamond Dallas Page and more. Kane is gonna be there, but just on Sat. I am going on Fri. so I am going to miss him which kinda sucks.

If you live near by I recommend going. Its a good time.

Also the Aug. show is getting its guests. So far they have alot of people from The Lost Boys and ROTLD. As well as Robert Englund, Angela Bettis, and Michael Berryman.

Charles Band is gonna be there and I am sure he will have plenty of FullMoon/Trancers merch. there.
I am gonna have to start saving up. I am not going for many autographs, but I always find many good dvds.

I'm going to this. I went to Monster Mania Cons 2 and 3 before and had good times. No where else can you meet your favorite killers and get your hands on banned/hard-to-find movies. Never thought I was so lucky to live in "New Joisey."

Another Monstermania in the books and another great time. I also spent too much money as usual. I was glad it was not as crazy as it can get sometimes. The lines where orderly and the merch. section wasn't jam packed.

The people I met:

I bought the Dollman/Demonic Toys box set and got Tim Thomerson and Charles Band to sign it. Thomerson is a cool laid back guyHe didnt have a line so we got to talk to him about Who's Harry Crumb? and such. Charles Band was also a nice guy. I also got pix with each of them.

I got Diamond Dallas Page to sign a pic. of The Unholy Two standing in front of a sleazy strip joint. I got a pic. with him and the WCW championship belt over my shoulder. He said he enjoyed working with Kane Hodder and some people on the set would often get the 2 mixed up. DDP looks like Kane a little bit. Also he wants to try to get Rob Zombie to do another movie with the Unholy Two.

I met the Candyman Tony Todd. He's very loud and full of energy. I got him to sign a copy of Shadow: Dead Riot.

I met Richard Brooker, Jason from pt. 3. I got him to sign a F-13 book. Hopefully I can get the other Jason actors to finish it.

I got a pic. with Darian Caine and got her to sigin a copy of Spiderbabe. A very nice lady.

August Underground was there. I bought a copy of Mordom(sp?).
I got the 2 guys that made the movie and the 2 girls that "starred" in the flick to sign it. I didnt watch the movie yet so I dont know if its good.

My buddy I went with got autographs and pix with Sid Haig & Bill Moseley. Both where cool guys. We also watched them introduce The Devils Rejects. They are a couple of funny guys.

Other junk I bought:
Monstersquad DVDR
The House of Long Shadows DVDr
Misty Mundaes new flick Shock-O-Rama and got a free poster of the Spy Who Shagged Me.
I got a copy of The Vampire Journals hosted by William Shatner from Full Moon.

The next one is in Aug. and I highly recommend going if you can.

I was there for a couple of hours. I primarily went for the hard-to-find movies, but there was one guest I did want to meet: Richard Brooker - Jason from Part 3. To me, that is one of the two best F13 flicks and it featured the best of the stunt actors to portray Jason in quasi-human form (before he became a zombie).

Funny, considering this is primarily a horror-driven convention, I did buy more non-horror merchandise:

-The cheesy 1960's live-action "Batman" show. Loved this show as a kid and never thought I would ever get to see it again. Now, I got the whole series on 7 disks!

-The "Ghostbusters" cartoon. The first 81 episodes in 3 sets. Never thought I would get to see this ever again either. Thank the Heavens!

Now, onto the horror:

-The "Masters of Horror" first complete season. Don't have Showtime, never had a chance to see this series. Now, I can!

-A Friday The 13th/Halloween DVD with ten short fan-made movies. I was curious and questionable about it, but it was only $15, so it's not a major loss if it's crap.

-The Best of Friday The 13th: Music By Harry Manfredini - CD with 13 songs from the series. Some of the stock Psycho-like themes from many of the movies, the disco theme from Part 3, Alice Cooper's "The Man Behind The Mask," "The Darker Side of the Night" (the opening song from Part 8), etc.

-I also got a Michael Myers mask. It's supposed to based off the mask from the original. It also has features from the mask from the most recent movie. Two of the best H-masks in one! Can't wait for Halloween! I've wanted to trick-or-treat as Mikey the last couple of years, but have never found a decent mask. Now, I got one! Mwa, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!

Well here's who I got to meet and take pictures with over the course of my MM weekend.

Sid Haig- got him to sign my giant Devils Rejects banner
Andrew Divoff (The Wishmaster)
Jennifer Baxter (zombie from Land of the Dead), spoke with her about Romero and told her how disappointed I was that the movie didn't perform so well at the box office.
Bill Moseley- also got him to sign my Devils Rejects banner. My friend bought one of his cds and said it was pretty damn good.
Richard Brooker (JASON from FRIDAY 3)- got him to autograph my Crystal Lake memories book.
Tony Todd (Candyman)- bought an 8x10 of him with George Romero which he autographed for me
Doug Bradley (Pinhead)
Gary Tunniclife (special FX designer)- had quite a discussion with him about just what the hell was going on with the upcoming Project Greenlight movie Feast.
Eileen Dietz (the face from The Exorcist)
Ricou Browning (The Creature From the Black Lagoon)
Alex Vincent (Andy Barclay from Childs Play 1 and 2) - we both agree that Seed of Chucky SUCKS and that Chucky should not have become a family man.
Howard Sherman (Bub from DAY OF THE DEAD)- Got him to autograph an 8x10 for me also
DDP- Definitley one of the highlights of the weekend he regaled us with stories for a good 10 minutes. Then I got him to autograph my Devils Rejects banner and he posed for a pic where he put his championship belt around my shoulder and we made the diamond cutter symbol.
Simon Bamford (Butterball from Hellraiser)- He's... not really a butterball
Nicholas Vince (The Chatterer from Hellraiser)- told him that he was the coolest of the Cenobites
Barbie Wilde (Female Cenobite from Hellraiser 2)- had a nice talk with her about Clive Barker

Aside from the autographs other merchandise I bought was a FRIDAY the 13th Part 3 shirt, THE LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT: The Making of A Cult Classic book, a shirt that has a picture of FREDDY and then says VS and has a picture of JASON. However the pictures of them are from the old 8 bit NES games. I also got some free posters.

Best con i've ever went too..everything was top notch and kickass. The con itself, the guests, the merch, the after (and during con) partying...the partying definetly was my highlight by meeting some new kickass peoples.

I grabbed 8x10s of following-

Lance Henriksen - Genuine,soft-spoken,laid back dude. His 8x10 selection was absolutely terrible but it was due to Fed-Ex,not his blaming.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v231/CoryOrton/cons/000_0536.jpg

Tim Thomerson- Grabbed an 8x10 of him posing from Dollman, got him to throw me the quote "Hey Cory Dry Hairs For Squids". He was the nicest and coolest guest there, had a 20 min convo regarding mixed martial arts and fighting. Finally got to meet Jack Deth.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v231/CoryOrton/cons/000_0532.jpg

Doug Bradley- Cool dude. Always hard to tell what kind of person he is.One minute hes nice and outgoing, next hes quiet and doesn't answer your questions for 40 seconds. His 8x10 turned out the best as it says "Cory,Your Suffering Will be Legendary Even In Hell".
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v231/CoryOrton/cons/000_0534.jpg

Andrew Divoff- Got him to sign my DVD of Neon Maniacs.Very good dude.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v231/CoryOrton/cons/000_0533.jpg

Richard Brooker- Awesome guy,as well as the best of all Jasons. He said he was doing some minor talks regarding possibly ever coming back as a Jason. I took that with a grain of salt but it'd be pretty crazy in a cool, retro way.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v231/CoryOrton/cons/000_0535.jpg

grabbed t-shirts of Night Breed,Return of the Living Dead & Clockwork Orange.

Drank a whole lot of beer.

Met teenkiller briefly also which was cool.

Yeah, the Dollman is roughed up nowadays. He didnt want to stand for the pix because his back is bad. Too many years of dirtbike riding and stunts. He still goes to a gym in Cali. and sometimes runs into the Rock, Triple H, and the Hulkster there. He was also talking about his start as a stand-up comic.

Cool pix XCoRyX. Glad to read you, Duke Nukem, and teenkiller had a good time.

Yeah. I went back to work the next day after MM5 was all said and done and it just sucked cause life was back to normalcy. Theres something about the atmosphere of being around people who dig the genre just as you and all...

This is what I was waiting for all summer and it was worth it. I went with $500 dollars and came home with a little over $100 left over.

I'll go over the impossible-to-find TV DVD's first:

-Batman Beyond - complete Series
-Spider-man (90's cartoon) - complete series
-Are You Afraid of The Dark? - complete series
-Goosebumps - complete series
-Freddy's Nightmares - complete series
-Friday The 13th (TV series minus Jason)- complete series

Horror Movies:

-The Stepfather
-The Cat O'Nine Tails (Dario Argento)
-Final Exam
-Bad Dreams
-The Wicker Man
-The Prowler
-Psychopath (some children's TV show host kills mean parents)
-Friday The 13th Megadisk - apparently contains MORE deleted scenes, documenatries, rare commercials, Roger Ebert's hilarious rants, etc.
-A Nightmare on Elm Street Megadisk - a lot of the same type of impossible-to-find stuff from the F13 Megadisk
-The Short Films of Bruce Campbell & Sam Raimi - most likely Bruce's earlier work with Sammy, including "Within The Woods," the short film that inspired "The Evil Dead" series.

I got an photo/autograph from Jason/C.J. Graham.

I also attended the screenings of F13 Parts 1 & 2.

And lastly, I also got myself Marked For Death with Steven Seagal.
