University Players?

Hey everyone.
I have a question regarding university and their players:
do you have to be part of that university to play in their sports division?
Or do you have to be enrolled at any university?
Thanks. I was just curious about this and I'm not as sports-savvy as I'd like to be.

I believe you need to be an enrolled student at the University in order to play for one of their NCAA Teams.

Being able to read or write is helpful, but not really required...:rolleyes:
