I'm just wondering - is the fifth BCS bowl an official national champioinship game? Like the two winners with the best records of other BCS games play in this one for the nat'l championship? Or is it just another run of the mill BCS game?

Basically its a fifth BCS Game that the two teams with the best records will play in for the National Championship. With this new game there will now be 10 BCS teams instead 8 and the Title game will no longer rotate between the Orange, Rose, Fiesta and Suger Bowl.

Correct - the Rose, Fiesta, Orange and Sugar will be played out - trying with their traditional match ups like the Big 10 vs. Pac 10 in the Rose Bowl. After those have been completed they will play the national championship game between 1 and 2

I think that's a good idea. While I don't think it'll end the controversies that come up, I think it'll make for some more great matchups and will decide an official national champion. None of this "Co-champion" B.S.
