ok, maybe i'm an idiot, but who is that?

If I'm not mistaken, that's Jean Claude Van Damme. And he already played a Max Payne type character in Wake of Death, so I dunno.

There's an actual actor who played the guy. Plus, Van Damme sucks.

You can't have a French dude playing Payne, no way.

Anyone else think Chazz Palminteri?

Or am I reaching too old?

No no, Chazz shouldn't even come close to that role.

Van Damme shouldn't either..

When i think Max Payne, i think Denis Leary's Rescue Me character's cop brother played by Dean Winters.

I've always thought either Nick Cage, Jared Leto, or Thomas Jane.

Top Picks -
(in no order).

1. Mickey Rourke (might be too old for the role, but he'd definetly do it justice and then some)

2. Dean Winters

3. Jean Claude Van-Damme (I Thought the same too before this thread. Its the perfect come-back material for Van Damme)

4. Mark Valley (He deserves bigger roles, dudes awesome)

5. Dominic Purcell (Same As Valley)

maybe Ray Liotta could put it off, i sorta looks the part

heres my picks:

guy pierce
tom jane
sean patrick flannery
micheal rosembaum (probably a little too young)
micheal madsen

i have a few others, but i cant think right now. i always kinda saw guy pierce as a max payne type guy (hehe guy...get it? ok nevermind). but why would anyone in their right mind think JCVD? he has far reached his limit, he is way too old now, and.....french!

No one said that it will happen, but just look on the picture posted, doesn't he look just like max payne should look?

btw the pic is from his new movie til death.

Yeeeah, if Max Payne was a dark comedy or satire.

it would have to be someone with a good speaking voice cuz max payne narrates a lot trough the game and i would hope he would during the movie as well my picks in no order

Guy Pearce
Matthew Fox from lost
the last two are a stretch but something tells me that they might be able to pull it off

Brad Pitt
or dare i say it

Keannu Reeves

I fail to see how Mel Gibson would make it a dark comedy or satire.

There's one man who was born to play Max Payne.

Eric Mabius.

I don't think he would.....

On other hand he'd produce it direct it and film it in yugoslavian with english subtitles Mel Gibson should not even be thought of for this

What about Josh Hartnett he was sweet in lucky number slevin and black hawk down

You saw Payback, right? That's dark comedy all the way.

Yes but that doesn't explain how if Mel Gibson was in the movie it'd be automatically a dark comedy.

Dean Winters definitely looks the part. However, I think guy pearce or mickey rourke would do a much better acting job. Edward norton, though, hmmm.....

Oddly enough James McCaffrey who plays Jimmy on Rescue Me, did the voice for Max Payne in both games, and imo if he can play him in the games he surely could play him in the movie(has the look just needs black hair, and obviously he's got the voice lol). http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0564548/ (http://)
