A Scanner Darkly has a new website (as was mentioned on the main page briefly) and a bunch of new pictures out, too. As they put more out on the movie, the more I am interested.
Is anyone else feeling a renewed buzz about the film?

I saw the new trailer a while ago. I forget which movie (I think it might've been Silent Hill or maybe Scary Movie 4, don't remember).
I'm very excited about this movie. It's definately one of the movies I'm looking forward to most this summer.

I'm a huge fan of Richard Linklater, and Waking Life is one of my favourite movies. The animation here seems so much beyond Waking Life. You know, I really hope this movie has a little more impact, because Waking Life was totally revolutionary, but nobody seems to have noticed. It totally modernized the rotoscope technique, at least among mainstream feature film work.
I haven't read the book, but Philip K. Dick wrote some awesome things that I HAVE read, and I heard only good things about this particular book.
I am really excited about this film, because it looks great (and totally warped) from the trailers and the awesome website (which really messes with your mind). Unfortunately, since it is being released by Warner Independent, don't expect much buzz nor much of a big deal mader about this film. I do hope it gets a mildly wide release, though. I'd sure like for it to succeed.

Well said.
The book is great, but trippy. A lot of paranoid stuff, like bugs crawling on one guy all the timem, and other hallucinations. I agree that they have really taken the rotoscope animation up a notch and I hope those stupid Charles Schwab commericals that used it don't detract from the beauty of the film.
