LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Tom Arnold has joined Terrence Howard and Bernie Mac in the period drama "P.D.R."
The Lionsgate film chronicles the true-life story of Jim Ellis (Howard), who in the 1970s started a black swim team in one of the roughest neighborhoods in Philadelphia. Arnold plays the racist swim coach of the rival team. Sunu Gonera will make his feature directorial debut on the film.
Arnold recently starred in Lionsgate's "Happy Endings," opposite Maggie Gyllenhaal and Lisa Kudrow. He also starred in "The Kid & I," an action comedy he wrote for a 16-year-old family friend with cerebral palsy.
