Hey everybody,
HOLY SHIT!! My dream has come true at last. I know this isn't exactly a movie news article but it is one that must be talked about since it is now my most anticipated game ever!
I was doing some searching around at MovieWeb.com and I came upon an article which stated that the staff over at Eidos Entertainment who are some of the top leading game programmers in the world have announced that they will be releasing a third-person video game to the classic film, "Reservoir Dogs". They're making the game now and it is scheduled to release some time in the Fall of this year. No details yet on whether the original cast will voice in the game but it is said that it will 100% faithful to the game in everyway showing you what actually happened to Mr. Blue, where Mr. Brown hid the diamonds and the full
music soundtrack will be featured as well! AWESOME! I'm pissing myself already!

Oh Christ, no, just no.
I can tell it'll be an awful game. Why make it? I'm guessing it's to cash in on the film's success so Tarantino fanboys will flock to it...*looks at user name...* Shit.
I won't be buying this, no way, no how.

I'm gonna wait before I make any assumptions, but i feel like this game will suck unless they expand a lot on the movie (kinda like Warriros game)

How can you make a game out of Reservoir Dogs?? I mean I realise there could be a few missions with the robbery and all but thats just 3 or 4 levels at most. Then it would get boring.

Sorry to break it to you guys but none of the actors likeness or voices are gonna be used in the game.
Plus how can you make a game out of this? The whole movie is guys talking to each other in a warehouse.

Neither can I.
I also can't wait to play the "Try to shoot first in the final stand-off" mini-game as well.

How would this work? The whole movie took place in 3 locations. The street, the warehouse and the boss' office...

When I saw this thread title, I was really excited. Then, as stated above, I thought about the fact that there really is no possible way to make this a good game.
This coming from someone who watches Reservoir Dogs twice a week, at least.

Well it could work in several ways. Are you just Tim Roth or do you pick your character?
If you are just Orange then you could work your way up to getting the introduction, working your way into the group, planning, and finally pulling off the job. Then you have to escape to the warehouse and then the final showdown. Does not leave much to the imagination though because everyone dies except Pink.
You could play as Mr. Pink, working your way up in the crime world doing low level jobs and finally hooking up with Joe and his crew. You get to the final showdown and of course live but you have to escape with the diamonds and then pursue a career as a waiter and Jack Rabbit Slims.
Just two of the many ideas you could go with.

Well, the Godfather game worked out perfectly well because a lot of events happened in the movies. With Reservoir Dogs, on the other hand...

The Godfather game sucked. Same shit the whole game just in a different part of town. I beat it and was not happy with the ending of having to take over the whole town. Too much repetition. I hope RD is awesome! I will play it for the same reason I played Godfather, just because I like the movie.

I don't play alot of games outside of the occasional Half Life 2 but The Warriors game kicked ass. Not saying that makes the Reservoir Dogs idea slick but its possible. I'm not optimistic, and in all seriousness I don't think I'll check this out. I dont want to know how the hiest went down. Thats like a game showing me whats in the briefcase in Pulp Fiction. Get a next gen game going on Kill Bill, thats a Tarantino film that game designers can sink their teeth into.

I hope it's not being created by the game company that did FIght Club. Because I never seen someone mess up something like that so badly.

Chances are, the game will expand on the universe much like "The Warriors" game did, which is a good thing. I doubt you'll strictly play through the stuff that is in the movie, considering it'd be next to impossible to model a game after that. Seriously, are you going to have a mini-game where you argue about tipping?

Yeah but at the very least you can say that the games events fitted in with the films storyline, even if the gameplay wasn't all that (which I agree, it wasn't).
