Well, I can't believe that there are two extremes to the hype this movie has created. Some people really can't wait thinkin that it's gonna be the fun-ride of their lives what with Jules Winnfield in charge et al...some folks are taking the other folks too seriously by saying stuff like "oh my god! this movie does certainly NOT deserve this hype."


Well, I for one am pretty much faking the "f*k yeah! i can't f*king wait motherf*kr!" ... cuz i'm pretty much bored with hollywood. Bored because the promising movies just don't deliver these days.

Anyways, I hope it's full of non-sense and fun.


So who else is actually looking forward to it/faking/hate the attention it's receiving?

I wouldn't say I'm fanatic, but me and a bunch of friends are gonna go see it with a bunch of rubber snakes with us that we plan to throw on the audience. We especially hope to start up some audience participation a-la Rocky Horror Picture Show. If it's a cult film, you've got to go with it all the way.

Then again, if it only turns out to be half tongue-in-cheek, only half ridiculous, only half bad-ass and half-assed in general... all the hype won't have been worth it. Then again, the director going back and filming more campy stuff is always a good sign. :)

Frankly im sick of the whole thing.It wasn't funny when it was introduced and its still not funny.Seriously like every show has to say something about and im really sick of even hearing about it

when it was first announced i thought it sounded like a load of garbage but with all the updates such as news of reshoots due to the online hype, im starting to get very interested in it just to see what it's like

I'm intrigued about this film, sure its been hyped to hell, it'll make a shit load in the box office. But I have the sneakiest feeling that this movie will suck something awful. It won't even be one of those "its so bad its good" it'll so bad its painful to watch it.

Thats just my view on it, I'm still going to see it. But I'm not expecting too much.

SLJ is the shit no matter how many bad movies hes in. Hes just a cool guy. People respond to that. People also responds to snakes....on planes.

Throw the two together and u have utter chaos. People REALLY respond well to that.

I think the problem is that people are trying to turn this movie in a cult phenomenon months before it's even released. It doesn't really work that way. The entire thing seems very...well, forced, to me. I get the feeling that the thing SNAKES will be most remembered for is this early reaction.

I'm not going nuts waiting to see this thing, but I do want to see it just because of the buzz surrounding it. I do like SLJ in roles like this and the fact that producers upped it to an R-rating gets me more excited to see it.

Except for Michael Mann's big screen adaption of Miami Vice in theaters everywhere this Summer.
