Hey guys,

As many of you know and have seen, I post a ton of GIF's on this forum for everybody and it's a very simply process but i do have a question for all of you if any of you know. My question is, how come even though my videos I import into Flash are high quality, do my GIF's look slightly distorted like so:

I used the high definition video for this GIF but the sharpness of the GIF
is kinda crappy. Do any of you know how to fix this? If someone could let me know, I'd really appreciate it since I'd like my GIF's to look like this:

This is coming from memory but I'm pretty sure it's right (wouldn't be the first time I was wrong if it's not)...

GIFs are limited to 256 colors. The Superman one looks grainy because some of it's colors fall out of that 256 range. The smaller pic really doesn't appear to have that many different colors in it so it's going to look better.

That actually does make sense Damone, thanks a lot for the input. I was looking at that option as well and you can't go beyond the 256 colour range. If you export the video as a Flash however, it looks perfect. Kinda strange but it looks good anyways.

Thanks a bunch Damone!
