Hi <Introduction blah blah blah>...
bottomline--->Hanks Pokes Fun at 'Da Vinci Code' Controversy<---
source: IMDB... ifya want the whole article, click (.) (.) here (http://www.imdb.com/news/wenn/2006-05-08/#3)
Just thought i'll post the portion of the article that tickled me a bit.
...But the highlight of the skit came when another show regular, Jason Sudeikis, dressed up as a comedic Jesus. He quipped, "Mr. Hanks, I saw your film and I just want you to know that I forgive you." But when the actor asked if he'd actually seen all of The Da Vinci Code, Sudeikis' Jesus joked, "I haven't seen that. I was forgiving you for making The Terminal... I saw that on an airplane and people were still walking out."
Hehe...I enjoyed 'the terminal' though.

Yeah, I LOVE The Terminal. I thought it was a wonderful and wonderfully funny movie. And that joke did make me chuckle a little. Mainly the seeing it on an airplane and still walking out part! :D

They left out what I felt was the punch-line of the whole joke.
I'm paraphrasing here....
After Sudiekis made that crack, Hanks says something like "Yeah, you're one of those new cast members aren't you - Sudekis or something, right?"
Sudekis: Um... yeah (Sudekis looks kind of embarrassed.
Hanks - You do realize Spielberg directed The Terminal don't you?
Sudekis - Uh, yeah. (more embarrassed)
Hanks - Oh, so not only are you taking on the son of God, but also Steven Spielberg, all in one show.
Sudekis - Well um... (Starts taking off Jesus beard)
Hanks (sarcastic) - Yeah, I'm sure well be seeing you in September

I loved The Terminal too. Especially the part where Hanks reveals what's in the tin can. I always get misty eyed. But there is a scene I don't like. The one where Zeta Jones comes back to give him temporary visa and they're all celebrating. It's not the scene, it the fact that she walking away and he's obviously wanting to talk to her and all his friends are hanging all over him and cheering and stuff, completely ignoring the concerned look on his face. It just looks fake to me. But other than that, I like it. http://www.vocinelweb.it/faccine/fattedanoi/donia/01.gif
Peace.

If Jesus was alive today he'd probably be a movie producer. After all he is "King of the Jews". :D

Tom Hanks defended The Terminal well-enough on his own during the show. Anyone catching that part of this?
deadguy - okay, that one makes up for all the other off-color remarks you've been making. Awesome! Welcome to the boards. :D

here they go again...It's like the cartoon controversy part deux...
'Da Vinci Code' Sparks Indian Riots
Controversial new movie adaptation The Da Vinci Code has prompted religious protests in the Indian city of Mumbai (Bombay). Hundreds of Catholic stalwarts yesterday gathered outside a convent school in the city in a bid to stop the film's release next week , blasting it as an attack on their faith. Members of the Catholic Secular Forum (CSF) have taken offence to the movie's depiction of Catholic group Opus Dei as corrupt, out-dated and at the centre of a cover-up of the truth about Jesus Christ. Csf general secretary Joseph Dias says, "Activists will go on a fast unto death if the government fails to take action against anti-Christian movies. You can't make fiction on a religious figure. Tempers are already running quite high and there's no way of saying what could happen if the movie is released." In a statement, the group added: "The Da Vinci Code is offensive as it hit certain basic foundations of the religion." The protest is the second in a week by the CSF after Tuesday saw approximately one hundred demonstrators take to the streets outside a Mumbai church and burn copies of the Dan Brown novel.

I know the KS quote is inappropriate. Just thought I'd use it for the heck of it.

Yeah I host open mic stand up comedy on Tuesdays, so I have a tendency to test out my jokes on forums. I hope not to offend anyone, but sometimes in comedy you have to say politically incorrect things to make people laugh.
I'd like to thank you if you thought that was funny, PM me and I'll try some other jokes on you.

I actually believe it's a very appropriate.
Someone should tell them: just don't watch the freaking movie if you think it's "blasphemous", and let other people with "open minds" enjoy it.

Robin Williams said the same thing when The Last Temptation of "Chuy" came out:
Protester: This movie is not real! This movie is not real!
Robin Williams: Psst, come here sparky... No movie is real!
