How good or bad of a slasher is this film? What are its pro's and con's? Anybody?

I liked it... but then again I'm an 80's slash flick die-hard.... I gotta warn you though, the Shriek Show DVD has a scene cut that leaves a plot hole.

Isn't that the only version available in R1 though?

on DVD yeah.... it had a VHS release but it's kinda hard to find. You can expect cuts on Shreik Show.. well waitm I heard that Grizzly wasn't cut, so I don't know.... but the DVD is worth the buy.

I've got the version with Joe Bob Briggs as a commentator. That copy is worth gold--get that one if you have a choice. The movie itself is so-so. I think of it as a kind of in-betweener of the true slashers and the onslaught of the Screams. It is an oddity of weird, sometimes annoying, and wow-didn't-see-that-coming.

This got re-released as part of a triple feature Shriek Show put out. This 'new' release is completely intact btw.

And yes, I love Hell High. Any film that has it's Joe Bob stamp of approval is a good film :)

I was pleasantly surprised with this one. Never heard of it and was expecting something totally cheesy but it actually wasn't half bad. Both Christophers were fun to watch playing the bad ass and the more straight man. Unfortunately Christopher Stryker who played Dickens died in 1987, two years before the movie was released, of AIDS. The only part that is REALLY unrealistic is the ending. Just not very likely. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

Since I just watched the movie again for about the fourth time and I really like I decided I would take this thread and Bring it Up for More Posts. I actually think it's a pretty neat little film. C'mon! Has anyone seen it? Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.
