1. Uncle Bud in AFTER DARK, MY SWEET
2. Bob Hyde in COMING HOME
3. Rob Charters in TOUGHLOVE
4. Tom Buchanan in THE GREAT GATSBY
5. George in FAMILY PLOT
6. Freeman Lowell in SILENT RUNNING
7. John Mayhew in HUGH...HUSH, SWEET CHARLOTTE
8. James in THEY SHOOT HORSES, DON’T THEY?
9. Franklin Harlow in Big Love
10. Thomas in MONSTER

Since someone else mentioned this wacko in a hilarious manner (the condom comment) in his daughter Laura's Best Role/Performance topic, I just thought I'd give this underrated character actor his due...

AFTER DARK, MY SWEET is definitely one of the best modern day attempts at film noir.

His best role ever was of Rumsfield in the Tom Hanks cult classic THE BURBS. This role was hysterical. He still has me rolling everytime I watch it.

I know I've seen him in a few other movies but the two that always come to mind are The 'Burbs and The Cowboys.
