Currently working on the independent scene are three gifted and extremely talented directors. Each of them has their own special, unique vision and voice, but the one thing they have in common is their first name, resulting in much confusion on my part.

So, which Todd is your favourite?

For me, it's got to be Todd Field. In The Bedroom was better than anything the other two Todds did. Solondz has the most fruitful career out of them all, but he is too uneven in my opinion. And Far from Heaven was good, but not even near In The Bedroom.

How about you? Which director Todd rocks your world?

Todd Solondz

He's like a fucked up Paul Thomas Anderson in my opinon.

Todd Solondz is my pick -- I get why a lot of people call him a misanthrope, but I believe he genuinely cares for his characters.

In the Bedroom was great, but I haven't seen enough by Field as a director to sway my opinion about him.
