Just a quick question. If one was to make a movie in say... Indonesia in which you actually pay people to kill other people (snuff film) and then you leave the country and go to the USA can u:

a) Release it under the Unrated classification?

b) Get taken back to Indonesia for it?

and c) Do time in the USA for it?

Well, not sure what you're planning but . . .

Hey, it's easy. If someone died because of you, it's murder. And it's not legal anywhere (not in the US and not in Indonesia). Far as I know, you can get *word in english I only know in spanish which means protection* in your country from being taken back to the country where the crime was made to be judged or whatever.

But I'm not really sure, better wait for a more knowledgable schmoe.

And of course you can release it under UR classification, just not in theatres.

just the idea of thinking about making a snuff film is pretty fucked up.

That or . . . he's planning to make a snuff movie. Let's hope the latter's not the case, though, because neither this or any is the place for it.

Don't worry people, it's just that a friend of mine was convinced that some dude did it in some 3rd world country or something and left to go to USA and released it under the unrated system. Of course he had never seen the movie, or even remembered its name and I was just curious as to whether it was possible to do such a thing.

Hahaha someone is taking thier love of horror too far. As I clicked on this thread I joked to myself this was going to be some question about realistic gore efffects and some wiseass would say get some homeless people and shoot them for real. Imagine my suprise when I wasnt so far from the truth.

You know that sort of information should have been included in your first post. I would go ahead and add it now since other people will read your first post again.

Not in horror movies. Everything is legal as long as it follows the script.

You could not release the movie in the USA, it would be illegal. Anyone who sold it would be arrested. Any money made would be confiscated, including property.

The guy who made the movie would be extradited back to Indonesia to face murder charges. The USA has extradition treaties with Indonesia.
