1)the usual suspects
2) forrest gump (its not really my 2nd fav. i just like to say it is)
3) gladiator
4)SIGNS
5)lord of the rings

Wow i havent put up a top anything since about January, 2001 heres my top 5

1.Shawshank Redemption (if this is not in your top 5 you either have brain damage or very bad taste in movies
2. Die Hard
3. Basic Instinct
4. Predator
5. The Matrix

i consider myself more of the action type call me crazy i think thisis a pretty good top 5...for now

oh yeah i forgot to put in the matrix as my 6th.....sorry about that, and i really loved signs.....im gonna go see it again (M. shymalan is a genius!)

A rather bold statement...Surely every individual is entitled to their opinion...

The Shawshank Redemption is not in my personal Top 5 I'm afraid...Its a fabulous Movie nonetheless!

Top 5 lists are too hard because it often depends on the mood I'm in. My number 1 does not change though. I am firmly convinced that it is the finest film I've ever seen.

1. Schindler's List
2. Saving Private Ryan
3. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
4. The Princess Bride
5. Empire of the Sun.

Ask me tomorrow and #'s 3, 4, and 5 might change.

My Top Five Movies List
1) The Shawshank Redemption (1994) and Casablanca (1942)
2) The Empire Strikes Back (1980)
3) Saving Private Ryan (1998)
4) Star Wars (1977)
5) The Godfather (1974)

American Beauty and The Godfather both constantly change between #5 and #6. I find it difficult to say which is better since they are both different. I might do with them the same thing I did with the two flicks in my #1 spot.
