I personally didn't like it. The humour was a bit dry, but it was VERY scary. It seriously frightened me! Like I said though, overall I thought the movie was a bit crap.

Is this movie the same one as Basket Case? If so, basket case is and was HORRIBLE!

No. No similarity whatsoever. Cohen did Basket Case. And that was about a mutant brother and crazy ass motherfucker twin brother.

The Tenant is about a haunted appartment, and is by Polanski.

Still wondering if I should check it out. Anyone?

Although there were a few jumpy moments, and it was pretty creepy, I still didn't like the film. If you like being scared, this is for you. However if, like me, you just want to see a good film, then give it a miss.

The film reminded me of Mario Bava's Black Sabbath "short" dripping water. Anyway what the heck does the tooth in the wall mean. That scene has always intrigued me any interpretations would be greatly appreciated.

If this is the one that I'm thinking of, it bore me to tears.

I never did get around to checking this out... everyone here pretty much talked me out of it.

It seems like a summer horror movie watch anyway... but being that it is the Halloween season; is that assumption wrong? Would it possibly work better this time of year just for the fact that Hallow's Eve is upon us?

Was it haunted? I thought he just went crazy from living up to expectations of the previous Tenant, and the shitty neighbors pestering him.

How was it haunted?
