Saw this link on a friend's web page. Thought it was interesting. Not really a 'political' subject, I guess. But news-worthy obviously. He's not a jew, by the way.

That was nice Siren. It was funny how he said he'd be back again to meet Governor S, LOL! I love to see people who are older living full lives like that, especially considering the horrible expereinces that he had in his youth.

I can't download that video. What did this guy say and how old is he?

I'd like to get that guy in a room with this guy:
tSugar Creek - Ted Junker seems like an ordinary, 87-year-old retired farmer until he starts to talk about his passion: Adolf Hitler.
Junker, who says was an SS officer during World War II, believes Hitler was a great leader who was just misunderstood, so he built a memorial to the Führer next to Junker's home near Millard in Walworth County.

I've wondered if schmoes from outside of Wisconsin have heard of this one. All I have to say, though, is that I'm embarassed to be living in the same state as this guy.

??????????????????????????????????????????????
The link that Siren posted was about a 101 year old survivor named Leopold who was persecuted for his faith because he was a Jehovah's Witness. I have no idea how you got this story about this other guy.

Um. I have no idea how you don't get the connection. I'm not sure if you know this, but Hitler played some part in the Holocaust.
Gee whiz, you make a big wigged-out deal about Ann Coulter being on Jay Leno, and here I am saying that I bet a mature Holocaust survivor and a mature former SS member would have interesting conversations, and this apparently dumbfounds you.
Would you care to elaborate on your apparent confusion?
??????????????????????????????????????????????
Indeed!

Sure,
Cyclonus couldn't download the video and aksed who the guy was and how old was he. When you posted the bit about the other guy who was 87 years old it sounded like you were answering his question and since one guy had been persecuted (in Siren's video) and the guy you wrote about was a Hitler admirerer, I didn't get the connection.

Yes Bubba...I do think getting them into a room together would be interesting. I'm sure they'd have alot to say to each other. :)

The interviewed the Nazi guy for the local news, and just like the other guy, soft-spoken and patient. I love people of advanced age, and really appreciate the wisdom they can share. These two guys are so far removed from one another on an ideological sense, that I can picture a lot to be learned from seeing them calmly discuss things. It would be a welcomed change to something like Cross Fire, or those debate shows.
Of course, I could be totally wrong and the whole thing could end with them atop one another and taking swings. Though, I'd rather not think of it like that --- I have seen the dark side of maturity. I have been to all night bingo games. Some of the elderly can be as vicious as teens.

USA TODAY had a piece on this last week.
Said the guy would show his memorial to anyone who would come.
Would be interesting to say the least.
