I'm not sure if this is true or not... I heard this from a friend.

A girl was babysitting one night and the perents said the baby was already in bed... so about 9 oclock the baby started crying. So she went upstairs to check on the baby. When she got up there, the baby was still crying and she saw a clown doll over by the closet in the FAR DARK side of the room. She took the baby out of the crib and took her downstairs for a while, the baby went back to sleep. The babysitter took the baby back to its crib and lied it under the blankets. Then she went downstairs, an hour later, the baby started to cry again. The babysitter went upstairs and saw that the baby was crying at the clowndoll again. So she turned on the lights and left the door open and went back down stairs. The baby stopped crying.

When the parents got home they asked how the baby was doing.

"So, How was the baby for you?" The mother asked.

"She was fine, but she was a little afraid of the clown doll up in your room, so I brought her down for a while. then put her back to bed."

"We don't have a clown doll." The father said.

So the three ran upstAIRS AND OPENED THE DOOR AND THE BABY WAS SLAUGHTERED, GUTTED.

They found out that a killer midget escaped from a circus and killed the baby and 4 other kids. The midget was caught and put in prison.

I doubt it is true but it'd make a good short film.

No offense but that story is as old as the Hook Hand on the Car.

It's a lot creepier when ended with "we don't have a clown doll" in pretty much every version of the story.

Did the killer midget have to ESCAPE from a circus? I mean what kind of circus is this that it's employees have to escape? Couldn't he have just done it on his lunch break?

They only get 30 minutes for lunch. Add that to the fact the babysitter kept going in and out of the room...he just wouldn't have had the time.

Now if he took a vacation day to do it....

:)

When I was 12 a bunch of us went camping as part of a massive school camp thing. We were in our tent in the dead of night and someone joked that somebody should tell a scary story. My buddy started telling a really stupid one about solicitors doing anything to get you to pay them.

Pretty soon it became scary for real, as a bunch of young men became actually afraid of a story involving solicitors breaking through windows in order to offer their services.

Please note, US schmoes, that outside of America a solicitor is a type of lawyer. Although using the US meaning of solicitor makes more sense, the meaning intended is much funnier.

Hey, whats wrong with a 'Creepy Story' like this one anyway?

Truth be told. I have never heard that one, but I enjoyed it!
My hats off to Bloody knife, for sharing it...urban legend or not. it works for me.

On an interesting note: My wife can't even look at anything to do with clowns, period. I have wondered WHY clowns (who, are supposed to bring joy and laughter to children and YES, I have seen 'Clownhouse') can be so feared by many....then again, real life monsters like 'Gacy' could have something to do with it.

...Now, If I could find someone who has a DVD-R copy of 'Fear of Clowns' for sale or trade, I'd be all set. ;)

I had wondered about the same thing. I guess it has something to do with the BIG FUCKING SMILES.

Hey, X' !

You reminded me of that line from 'Clownhouse'.

"Their faces are fake, big happy eyes, big painted smiles.
You never know who they really are" :D:eek: ;)

I told that story months ago on here, but it's still creepy. Clowns freak me out. I was at my town's 4th of July parade one year and there were some clowns walking it. The one that looked like a dirty old man of course decided to come over and sit on my lap. If there weren't thousands of people, I would have screamed bloody murder and kicked him off of me.

I love these cheesy old legends. My favorite is the one about the psychic predicting a psycho dressed as Little Bo Peep will kill off a bunch of college students on Halloween. Great stuff.

Found it on Snopes.com:

Claim: A psychic predicted on a popular television talk show that a mass murder would take place on Halloween at a college campus.

Status: False.

Variations: Nearly all the details of this legend — which TV show the prediction was made on, who the killer will be, what weapon the killer will wield, which campus he will strike, what building the murders will occur in, and how many students will be killed — vary according to where and when the legend is repeated:

The psychic who makes the prediction was usually said to have been Jeanne Dixon; after her death, the legend simply referred to 'a psychic.'

The TV shows on which the psychic is said to have made the prediction include ones hosted by Phil Donahue, David Letterman, Johnny Carson, Oprah Winfrey, Montel Williams, Geraldo Rivera, or Joan Rivers. (Sometimes the prediction is one made by Nostradamus rather than a modern day psychic.)

The potential murderer is variously reported to be a crazed student, professor, maintenance worker, escaped convict, maniac from insane asylum, or someone dressed as Little Bo Peep. (Some versions claim that it is now illegal to dress as Little Bo Peep on Halloween in the local college town.)

The expected number of victims is usually a specific number (9, 10, 12, and 20 are mentioned frequently).

The murder weapon is always some type of sharp object, such as an axe, hatchet, or knife.

The campus to be struck is usually one starting with a specific letter, adjacent to some type of related landmark (such as a mental institution or cemetery), near a designated configuration of hills and rivers, or belonging to a specific athletic conference.

The site on campus where the killings will occur is often one of a particular shape, named after a certain person, or beginning with a specific letter. Older versions of the legend mention less specific buildings such as a freshman dormitory, the largest dorm on campus, a women's dorm, or a sorority house

Origins: Resurfacing periodically every few years, this classic fright legend has sent many students rushing home for the weekend or barricading themselves inside their rooms. This story's first known appearance was in the Midwest in 1968, perhaps inspired by Richard Speck's murder of nine nurses in a Chicago rooming house a few years earlier. It has seen numerous outbreaks since then, most notably in 1979 (Midwest), 1983 (nationwide), 1986 (Central Pennsylvania), and 1991 (New England), and it made a huge comeback in 1998 (perhaps inspired by the release of the movie Urban Legends earlier that year) when it spread across college campuses throughout the Midwest. The details of the various 1998 versions were:
The psychic made the prediction on a talk show hosted by Oprah Winfrey or Montel Williams. (The psychic is sometimes claimed to have predicted the Oklahoma City bombing as well.) The show was sometimes claimed to have been one that was taped but not aired.

The number of victims was to be 10, 15, 18, or "12 female students."

The killer was to be dressed as Little Bo Peep or wearing a Scream mask.

The school to be targeted was be a member of the Big 12 or Big 10 athletic conferences. Some versions also mentioned a "big campus in Florida"; limited the locale to the campus of a Big 10 school starting with 'M' or 'W' (i.e. Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, and Wisconsin), or specified a school whose colors were orange and black. Later entries included a "women's college in southern California"

Common elements were a school, building, or dormitory shaped like an 'H' (or an '8' or a 'U') and located near some combination of pond/lake/river, railroad tracks, and cemetery

Yeah, i hate clowns too. Those crazy painted bastards.

As for the killer midget story, that was a good one. They can get Warwick Davis to play the killer. Then they can get a time machine, go back in time, get the Olsen twins as infants, bring them into this world to film the movie, and then kill them for real, saving all of humanity from the Cokewhores of Doom.
