Favorite: RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK. No questions asked...one of the best movies ever.

Least favorite: I like 'em all...each and every one of 'em, I even love most of them. But I think DUEL would be my least favorite, as it was his first one and definitely not his better one from a directing point of vue.

BEST: JAWS. No explanation necessary. This is the definitive pre-pretentious Steve!

WORST: TWILIGHT ZONE: THE MOVIE (Segment: "Kick The Can"). Not really a bad tale, but too whimsical, and the least effective among Spielberg's powerful films (and not really scary enough to warrant a place in this would-be horror film).

MOST MEAN-SPIRITED SPIELBERG: A.I. and MINORITY REPORT.

Best: By far Schindler's List.

Favorite: Ever since being a kid I have loved E.T. The Extra Terrestrial.

Least Favorite: Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade has increasingly gotten worse upon each viewing.

Worst: I've avoided all the supposedly bad Spielberg films like 1941, and Always.

Favorite? Probably Jaws.

Best? Probably Schindler's List.

Worst? I haven't seen them all, but Hook and Jurassic Park 2 were pretty horrible.

I loved Jaws, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Jurassic Park, and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

I hated The Lost World, AI, Hook, and Empire of the Sun.

I have not seen 1941, Always, Amistad or Minority Report.

My fave Spielberg is probably Duel, or Close Encounters...

I really prefer his older movies. (But I really enjoyed Minority Report, though.)

My least fave has to either be 1941 or Hook(too fluffy for me). I thought I was the only person who didn't like The Color Purple. I guess I'm not the only one, even though I don't think it's his worst.

My favorite is Saving Private Ryan, but I think Schinder's List is his best. But it isn't better by very much at all. Both are among the best, if not the two best, of the decade.

My least favorite is Close Encounters of the Third Kind. It's the only movie he's directed that I've given a rating in the lower half of the 10-scale to (I gave it a 5/10). I just didn't get the point of it.

One of the greatest directors ever.

It`s hard to answer about the least favourite, because I really don`t have such problems with Spielberg`s movies.Even now I just can`t think of any, which I dislike and can call it "least favourite".

Wow, ColinM is right on the money. Schindler's List I consistently rate as (IMO) the greatest movie ever made. That being said, I cannot find an argument against Saving Private Ryan (with the possible exception of Matt Damon's portrayal of Pvt Ryan.) Another one of the finest films ever made.

and

Least favorite would probably have to be Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Just thought this was pretentious schlock.

Is SS the most successful (money-wise) director ever?
