The guys at Free Republic are making a big stink over this. Oh wow, weapons laying around since 1991! Amazing!

I dont' know why anyone is making a big deal about this. There was never any doubt Hussein was not complying with the weapons inspectors. He made no bones about it- he blantantly did not allow them to go where they wanted to and when they wanted to- it was all a farce. If he wasn't giving them the freedom to roam around it was obvious that he was hiding something.

What is so dumb is that most people(read: right-wing pundits) are shoving this in anti-war people's faces when in fact it proves nothing.
The Department of Defence has said that these weapons are over a decade old and are NOT the reason for why they went to the war [nor are they the weapons that America went to war over]. This is just to help the Republicans get a good mid-term result. They're trying their asses off and I'm hoping most people don't fall for it, but they probably will. And the Democrats will probably just make more mistakes than they do already, making this entire thing a no-win situation.

Yeah, if we are classifying *these things* as dangerous weapons, maybe we better hope we aren't invaded, because I bet there's some MAJOR F'N WMDs buried in Arizona, right next to the old Atari 2600 "ET" carts.
