This is just my opinion, but I think Malevolence is the most effective slasher movie made since Scarecrows, and Halloween before that.
Those are the only three slasher flicks I've seen that are truly creepy and effective. I know a lot of people don't like Malevolence because virtually every scene and story idea is stolen from every slasher movie made before it (right down to the killer's Michael-Myers-crossed-with-Jason-in-Friday II outfit), but there's a very simple reason why I like it despite all that:
IT WORKS at what it set out to do.
That's all I ask from a horror movie, and Malevolence delivers. Anyone else on here share this view, or is the movie just another homage-ripoff?
