I think dontlike secretly does like horror films but is just afraid of facing their primordial fears via the filmic medium . I think they should be more afraid of the overhyped dud that is Superman Returns than an actual hardcore horror film , 8.50 pound ( about 16 dollars US ) for that film is akin to armed robbery . Don't worry Don't , i'll get you hooked on horror faster than you can say David Beckam is suffering from heat exhaustion again ! Then again , i go for the cheaper than a Mcdonald's dollar menu italian horror films , so that may put you off at first , but don't worry , i like all kinds of horrror , i'm sure i can find something you'll like , say Dawn of the Dead 2004 to start , or even Res Evil 2 . If you have any interest at all in those , and i'm sure you will , we can move on to some real classics ( Dawn 04 just may be eventually , but the original is still the best , and RE 2 is somewhat safe , cheesy , don't take it serious , sci fi horror , but still a nice intro to some recent genre additions ) . Oh and since you're in England , i'm positive Shaun of the Dead will catch your fancy , that's a great film that deftly mixes horror , comedy and romance . Or for a more intense Brit horror film experience , you can't go wrong with the intense offerings of Dog Soldiers , 28 Days Later , and Descent ( a Brit production that was directed by an American guy who consequently helmed Dog Soldiers ) .

Neil Marshall is British and directed Dog Soldiers before The Descent. Or so says Mr Must Point Out The Facts No Matter How Trivial.
