Anyone (in UK mainly) going to see the Ali G movie? It comes out today in preview form, so I reckon myself and a few mates will be going down the UGC to see it.

Anyone in the US even heard of this film? Is it getting a US release?

Ali G is quite an acquired taste. I don't really like him much but hey, you gotta like who you gotta like! But I don't know about a US release.

I saw this movie last night and for fans it will be a non stop laugh riot i loved it from the opening scene where Ali dreams of living in LA where there is a massive shootout or where he bones MAJULIE in the front seat of his Shaggin wagon see this movie if your a fan....

That's exactly what I was asking until I saw the Madonna video Music (you know, the one where she acts like a slut....wait.....that's every one of her videos). Anyways, he's the dickhead poser of a chauffeur to Ms. M and her wacky brand of STD-ridden strippers. Classy.

Yeah, he's all about taking the piss out of white people that think they're black, or Asians who think they're black... I saw the film last night, too, and it's not bad, would have been better a couple of years ago when he was really really popular over here, but, yeah, cool, although I think a lot of the in-jokes and irony will be lost on US peeps if it's ever released over there.

Ah, I thought the film was ok but nothing special. Oh and in the sun last week it said the film was only being released in the uk, but he is in talks with HBO- whoever they are- about making a usa series.
