Fourth Spidey Villian Exposed!

That's right! It's announced that Bruce Campbell is casted to be playing the fourth Spidey villian.

Campbell will be playing none other than Quentin Beck, AKA Mysterio.
Though they say he makes a "fleeting appearance"....pretty much like all the Bruce Campbell moments in Spiderman.

Do you think this was a good idea, teasing us with a possible 4th MAJOR villian, but instead we get a humourous cameo villian? (with all due respect to Mr. Campbell)

I always knew that Campbell would end up playing Mysterio. Who better to play a B-Grade actor than a B-Grade actor? It's pretty cool. I wonder if he will be the same character as he was in the previous two films (The wrestling announcer & the Usher). If so it would seem he was toying with Parker by following him and setting himself up to interact with him in certain places. Very interesting.

If this news is true, then all I have to say is: groovy. Mysterio is one of my favorite Spider-Man villains, and Bruce Campbell would be perfect for the role. Hopefully, there will be an official announcement at this year's San Diego Comic-Con.

If this is true I love it! I heard rumours of Man-Wolf being named the 4th villain but I'll take Bruce Campbell as Mysterio anyday! It'd be great if he was the "final baddie" for Spidey to beat heading into the ending, ala The Incredibles ending.

Even from the cartoon -- Mysterio was kind of a dorky villian to begin with. With absolutely no idea of the actual story of the movie, so no spoilers here, I think it'd work nicely if, after the opening voiceover, it pans to an action scene of Campbell in the nerdy helmet and cape robbing a bank or whatever, just so the movie can open with a bang...sort of. Then he can make a funny appearance during one of the more climactic battles in the dorky helmet again...it could make for some really good comedy relief from my friend Ash and not affect the main plot...

Every time he appears in a Spider-man movie, hes working in show biz so this fits perfectly.:p
