I must say that I am not very impressed with the teaser trailer for the Transformers movie. I was hoping for something much better, like the Spider-Man 3 teaser. Aside from one very brief shot, there's no shots of any of the transformers, either in robot mode or vehicle mode. I've uploaded the trailer to youtube.com here: Transformers teaser (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-uKst1Hd9c). The quality is not the best as I was trying to keep the file size down (the source material was much bigger).

I think it's awesome! You have to remember, they've been filming for a month and won't have that much. I don't want to see any Transformers until the official trailer. I want to be teased.
I love how the "7.4.7" transformed into the Autobot symbol. I also love how the Mars Rover was destroyed by thr Transformer, most likely a Decepticon. Can't wait for the High Definition version of the trailer next Tuesday.

This IS pretty kickass!! Gives a nice little tease, much better than spidey's trailer which showed too much

I was hoping for a little more footage of either the robots or the vehicles. A shot of one actually transforming would've been awesome, but I can live without it for now. I also wish they would've used the theme music at least a little.

Indeed. Exclusive footage NOT simply drawn from the movie, no clear footage of characters or plot, one memorable image to end the trailer on, and some forboding speech along with the title = great teaser to a summer blockbuster.

Click that link if you want to download it, but you HAVE to add ".flv" to the filename once the download is completed if you want it to open in an external Flash player.

That Blew!!! I got amped up watching that damn countdown, saw amazing screne tests of the robots, that bumblebee photo.....and all this waiting for a glimse of a robot shadow, FUCK THAT. I know it's a teaser, but that is the worse case of blue balls I've ever got. I'm pretty fucking salty about that.

It's expected though. I don't want to see any Transformers. It was just like "War of the Worlds"as Spielberg never revealed the aliens or pods. It was so awesome!

Well, the quality pretty much sucked. It was hard to read the text. It doesn't make me more excited over the movie or anything since it doesn't give anything away about the story or characters - all it told me that I should expect a movie where these robots exist.

Well, 2 1/2 hours is longer than I would've expected the studio to find it and ask me to pull it, which I did. Hope you all liked it while it was there! I expect the hi-res version to be available on Tuesday, hopefully in Quicktime!

I do but after I type in the verification code, the next page has "Download-session invalid."
Anyone else having trouble downloading it?
EDIT: Ok, got it now. I actually let Transformerslive.com fully load (song plays out and all) then refreshed it. Clicked on "skip Intro" and you can get to the trailer teaser from there.
Also, if you go into temp. folders off internet explorer, look for the "transformers-640.flv file and copy it to your computer. Then just play it with the flv player.
enjoy!
p.s. I really liked it. Nice and dark, has good potential.

I know it doesn't quite stack up against Spidey 3's teaser, but then again I didn't expect THAT teaser to kick my ass. Anyway, this Transformers TEASER TRAILER is exactly that: A TEASER TRAILER. Nothing more. A TEASER. ;)

I'm trying to watch it now and it is downloading ohhhhhhh so slowly....zzzzzzzzzz. But what do you expect it's TRANSFORMERS THE FRIGGIN LIVE ACTION MOVIE TEASER TRAILER DAMMIT!!!!!!!!!!
My fiance is 6 years younger than me and says I act like a little kid when it comes to stuff like this but she just doesn't understand what it's like to see a cartoon you used to follow so religiously as a kid become a live action flick like this, espicially Transfomers. I used to think to myself "I wonder when the special effects will reach a point that a Transformers live action movie will be achievable?", and guess what people? The point has been reached.

I was dissapointed we didn't see any transformers either, but you've got to remember, they're still in principal photography, and it's another year away. I consider myself lucky that we even got a 'story' teaser.

One thing people should take into consideration is that the Transformers movie is going to be marketed to everyone and not just the fanboys and little kids!
By starting a teaser with a feeling of "WTF?" then saying
"Transformers" ignites a bit of interest into the general public who may not really be aware of Transformers. Makes it mysterious and interesting.
Also to remember, Spidey has had 2 chances to shine into the minds of the public. Seeing his teaser has an advantage, thus they can also show more!
Transformers is just starting out after 20 yrs. and it's not gonna be like the new crap on tv, all kiddy cartoon and crappy.
This big movie needs to appeal to more than just us fanboys. Atleast that's how I saw the trailer.
I mean yah, i'd love to see an actual TF on screen there too, but give it time!. People need to seek an interest into it first. I think the teaser does just that...

As cool as transformers was when I was a kid, and how much fun the toys were the play with...I don't see it transitioning well onto the big screen. Even more than the story, I can't trust Michael Bay -- I just can't stand his movies...I feel as if I'm having a mild seizure(sp) when watching those kinetic camera-swapping actions scenes when I don't know what the hell's going on...I was looking foreward to The Island, and that migrane I had after the movie was less than appealing...

I hadn't seen the teaser for this, so I went to POTC 2 last night and it came on. Of course I had no idea what it was, but when it was over, the ENITRE theater was cheering and screaming for it. I was mighty impressed with what I saw.
Damn, I love going to midnight movies.

I saw the trailer last night attached to Pirates 2. I am so psyched. Other people were in the theater that were like, "What?" or "Come on!"
But I rejoiced with the people at the screening that said, "Yes! I want to see more of that!"

I'll be happy with the look of either 'bots' or 'cons' so long as they make the orginal transforming sound (I could even cope with a slight variation). chee caaa cuuu khhhooo. WoW, I never tried to type out that sound before, but you know what I'm talkin 'bout.

I think the film will be fun, but the teaser was pretty silly in concept.
A two feet high, cute tiny robot car gets crushed on the surface of Mars, when a Transformer steps on it? If they're selling this as a comedy, I can see the concept for the teaser working... But for an epic action movie about the fate of the world, etc, it was kinda dumb. I mean I could kick that little robot car's ass. A transformer... Ooh... Scary... It crushed the cute little robot... The mankind is in trouble!
It felt as if they didn't think even for a moment what kind of film they were selling, when they made the teaser.

Yeah, my screening for Pirates didn't care for it either. Especially the fucking twelve year old who yelled 'GAAAAAY', is he not the target audience for this?
I had to see Pirates with my grandma because my friends would have spoiled the whole thing for me (lovable assholes they are) and even SHE wasn't impressed.
I'll end up seeing it, because even if most of my friends don't want to see something, me and my movie geek pal see EVERYTHING sooner or later. And he's a Transformers fan since six months old, so it'll balance my not caring.
