Haven't heard much about this movie, so maybe this topic will spark some conversation.
Synopsis
Sam (Adam Taylor Gordon) is a young boy with big problems: He has bad dreams, he cuts himself, and he’s just been released from a mental hospital. But when he and his recovering alcoholic father (Brian Wimmer) are forced to stay on a ranch owned by the mysterious Ben Zachary (Lance Henriksen of ALIENS and NEAR DARK), Sam’s nightmares become all too real. On this placid land, the dead walk, evil is alive and a terrifying prophecy may unleash the final apocalypse. As the suffering of the innocent takes root, will the taste of temptation lead Sam to the most shocking act of all? Claudia Christian (BABYLON 5, THE HIDDEN) and Sean Young (BLADE RUNNER) co-star in this provocative horror thriller about the battle for the soul of mankind that begins – and ends – in THE GARDEN.

With Lance and Claudia you can't really go wrong can you? I have it on my pick up list for next tuesday. I have heard this has been getting some good buzz on the con circuit so, it must be worth checking out.

Claudia Christian alone is enough to make almost any movie worth picking up for me, she's such an amazing scene stealer at times! :)
I'm going to San Diego Comic Con later this month... she's appeared there in the past... hmm... wonder if she'll be there to promote the Garden, that'd be AWESOME! :)

I have never seen any of Claudia's work, I don't think. Lance on the other hand I have seen a lot of his work.
You'll have to let us know if Claudia does promote "The Garden" at con. :)

last time I checked Claudia's website, as I recall, it said she was doing a TV show for the BBC... so I'm hoping her fans will have a booth of some sort at con, though those are starting to get too expensive for fan clubs... hmm... wonder how I'd surf the web to see if anything for the Garden plans to be at con...?
I've always been impressed out how much Claudia does to promote the work she is in... she def. takes a sense of ownership about her career and understands that if she doesn't tell her fans what she's doing we aren't going to find her movies etc, plain and simple.
Well, first things first, time to run over to ClaudiaChristian.net (I think that's her official site's url) and see what kind of appearances it says she has coming up! :)

Its Kind of hard to imagine you never caught an episode of Babylon 5. Claudia definitely has the charisma to make this worth seeing. Add in Lance and it is a must view!

Hey... I think I saw Stephen J. Cannell in the behind the scenes clip... if he was on set then he was a lot more involved than I had realized!
Thanks for pointing out at the clips... I get so single minded on going straight to forums I sometimes forget to check out what's new with the rest of the site they are a part of. :(

Thanks for letting us know about Stephen, I would have never noticed him. Being on dialup sucks, the pics are blurred and voices and scenes are not in sync. :(

no problem! There are def. times when broadband is awesome, there every now in then there is a video I just have to pause and let load so it doesn't do a bunch of hiccups.
Stephen J. Cannell was in a few Renegade eps (Yes, I confess, i've seen a few Renegade eps! :) ) and was in the C.H.I.P.s tv movie a few years ago... if it weren't for those I wouldn't have recognized him in the behind the scenes stuff.

So Cannell has the whole M.Knight/ Hitchcock/King penchant for appearing in his productions? I have some DVDs to watch over again now. Did you pick up the DVD yet? I am going to watch it over the weekend. The wife is in the middle of summer midterms and I am not allowed to watch a new horror flick with out her. :(

Not really a spoiler free review,
but take care, when reading this
review
First things first, a Cautionary warning.
If you self harm, you know, like
cut your flesh, or burn it,
I suggest you not watch this movie
as it will only be a trigger, and will
most likely cause you to step back
into self harming ways.
Secondly, if animal cruelty gets you
pissed off, I would suggest you
close your eyes during that time,
it pissed me off hugely.
The movie is actually cold and heartless
when coming to child abuse. I faced it
many a time during my tenure as a 5 year old.
In any event, do enjoy the movie,
sure it freaked me out, and for
that, I give it props, I just didn't
like the two things I mentioned
up above.
I cancelled my order, because I couldn't wait that
long for the movie, so I went to my local Coconuts
grabbed myself a copy of the movie,
and man am I ever glad I did.
This movie has alot of Christian talk,
which doesn't bother me, as I am a Christian,
but I can reassure you that it didn't come
off as too preachy.
The movie is chaotic, so much to
gleen the eyes, acting wise
all cast members did an excellent
job in their acting skills and were
superb, even by our young protagonist, Sam.
It's not to thick on the atmostphere,
and maybe 'medium on the brutality,
and there is two scenes
that I wont mention, where
the tension hit the ball out of
the ballpark, I could not
handle it, yet I kept my eye's
on it. I was disgusted by
it's brutality, but they managed to
capture it all on film.
All in all. 10/10
Sam....
What would you do, if you lived with the devil?

That is a wild review. I can't really add or detract anything without spoilers. I agree with you about the animal cruelty. You might want to skip it. I think it was definitely a well made flick.
