Appearently scary movie 4 is to be released in august on the 15th, but I was just wondering what the differences between the unrated edition and normal edition would be? I know its usually more gore or violence or whatever, but what could scary movie 4 be holding back? Probably strong language in some scenes? Seems odd!

There won't be much difference. Mabye an extra F-Bomb or a longer Charlie Sheen scene. Don't let the Unrated fool you.

^^

What he said. I don't understand why marketing a lame comedy as "unrated" will help make the movie better, unless there are some more dick jokes that were just too special to be left in the theatrical version.

Heh, when I saw the thread title I was thinking the third sequel went straight to DVD.

How's that for memorable studio fare?

Was charlie sheen in the 4th lol i dont remember, i think he was in the 3rd. Thanks for the replies I was expecting a few more swear words in the movie hopefully there are some special features talking about what was cut from the movie and why. Deleted scenes are always a plus too.

Sheen was in #4 for like 2 mins at the beginning.

I can't believe no one else found this movie fucking hilarious. It may not be clever but its still funny as hell. If the unrated costs just as much I'll be buying it but if it costs more than a few bucks more I'll just get the original.

considering the unrated version will be 6 minutes longer then the rated version there should be some noticable differences.

I agree with you completely, this movie was hilarious! One of the few movies that had me laughing the ENTIRE time. I'll definetly be picking up the unrated version.

That's not true. The Rated and Unrated versions are exactly the same length, mabye a couple seconds difference.

Oh do you have any links with the actual running times for both discs? I want to know exactly, i could wait though for them both to come out and compare them, heh, I hope the unrated edition has some meaty extras enough to warrent getting it, i'll get it with the scary movie 3 unrated edition probably.

Says the unrated version has an additional 11 minutes of scenes as well as some bloopers and commentary. I've found that a lot of the time the commentary on DVDs can be as funny as the movie if not funnier. There were some classic scenes in that movie though. The brokeback mountain scene was hilarious Lil John was naturally funny as well as charlie sheen. I'd really like to see them in more movies now. BTW has anyone else seen their sites? http://allstarz.hollywood.com/charliesheen/ http://www.liljononline.com/

They're worth checking out if you're a fan.

Since SM2 this series has been a guilty pleasure of mine, I will definitely pick this one up.

It will be no raunchier or funnier. No more swearing or sex jokes. It is going to be longer, but just more PG-13 stupidity.

the saw spoofs were perfect but I liked most of the movie myself, nielson, shaq & chingy cameos were a nice surprise, spoofs of alot of newer movies and movies that arent necessarily horror like war of the worlds and milion dollar baby were hilarious.

Anyone that doesn't really dig this movie just isn't into the Zucker/Abrahams/Proft style of spoof comedy, that's it.

Granted, it's not as good as Airplane!, the Naked Gun movies or the Hot Shots! movies, but it was still ridiculously funny.

There's a certain amount of stupid/absurd humour that you have to find amusing to really "get" these kinds of movies.

Also, the Million Dollar Baby scene had me losing it, definitely the best bit in the flick. That and the Tom Cruise/Oprah ending.
