It's the tragic story of the investigation into the death (murder?) of Superman actor GEORGE REEVES...

It stars:

Oscar nominee DIANE LANE (Unfaithful, The Perfect Storm)
Oscar winner BEN AFFLECK (Changing Lanes, Pearl Harbour)
Oscar winner ADRIEN BRODY (The Piano, King Kong)

Good cast and there is already whispers of Oscars apparently...

me too. The death of George Reeves, at the height of his popularity, and the height of the popularity of his show (he WAS Superman, to an entire generation, and to this day, people think of him as being right up there with Christopher Reeves as the best Superman of all time. It's one of the Reeves, in my opinion.) is the great unsolved murder in Hollywood history. It's also, IMHO, the most under-appreciated one, and it surprises me that it's taken 50 years before Hollywood got around to making a movie about it. I'm certainly going to go see it, it's a story that I have a great deal of interest in, and one that I hope is faithfully adapted to the screen.

Even though I hate Ben Affleck, this movie looks really good.

Being that the death of George Reeves has been one of Hollywood's most morbid mysteries for a number of years now, I have to agree that it's surprising that it's actually taken this long for a film to be made about the case. The cast is very solid, and although I am not much of an Affleck fan (I think Kyle Maclachlan would have been a more inspired choice to portray George), I sincerely hope he surprises us all by delivering an atleast "good" performance.
