Zathura...

I know im a little late on this one but i was bored today and decided to watch zathura... Im not much on long writing so ill just say that the movie suprised the shit out of me. The effects were some of the best i have ever seen in any movie. The robot is the scene that comes to mind. I can hardly comprehend how they did that effect. Reminds me of the creatures in hellboy. When i first saw that one i wasnt sure if the monsters were practical or digital. I give Zathura a solid 8.5.

Oh yeah and John Favreau directed it..... thats odd.

Watched it, bought it, loved it. It really is a great movie.

And if you watch the special features, they show how they did those effects. The used practical effects for the robot's torso, and CGI for its hands and such. Very cool stuff - you should check it out.
