deepdiscountdvd.com has a new sale on 2 Disc SEs such as:

Network
Dog Day Afternoon
All the President's Men
Malcolm X
Boogie Nights
Magnolia
Se7en
Blade 2
Unforgiven
Amadeus
and other...

They are all priced at $10.47, much cheaper than anything you'll find...well anywhere. Personally I love this sale, it compares to the Criterion sales they sometimes have. I'll certainly be picking up a few.

wasn't too interested in that one, actually, i probably would be if I didn't already own a lot of those.

The sale that REALLY caught my eye, and compares very well to the Criterion sale is that 50% off Kino Video DVDs. Over the last two weeks, I've already ordered:
Krzystof Kieslowski Box Set (6 movies)
Masterworks of German Horror Box Set (4 movies)
Wong Kar-Wai Box Set (5 movies)
Masterworks of D.W. Griffith Box Set (5 movies)
71 Fragments of a Chronology of Chance
Code: Unknown
Piano Teacher
Seventh Continent
L'Age D'or
Man With a Movie Camera
Man Who Laughs
Last Laugh
Que Viva Mexico

so yeah, and it goes until the end of this month, so i may look to order even more. There's some Fritz Lang films that caught my eye, along with a number of others.

I just found out about this by chance. My credit card is groaning now...But I grabbed some DVDs I've wanted to have for some time, but which were never discounted sufficiently:

FRITZ LANG EPIC COLLECTION
HOUSE BY THE RIVER (Another Lang film; they also have Scarlet Street, but I have that already)
MASTERWORKS OF GERMAN HORROR
THE MOVIES BEGIN (5 DVD SET)
RAILROADED (Anthony Mann!!)

I had to cancel L'Age D'or and the Avant Garde Cinema disc, not to mention the Edison discs, b/c that would just be too much to spend, even if it is a great sale.

One day left -- this sale is unbeatable, especailly given Kino's reluctance to price their discs reasonably (not to mention their reluctance to provide sufficient bonus materials on most discs -- but that's another story).

I know. Kino is no Criterion...that's for sure.
