A HHHHHHHUGE 'gator that had been flushed into the sewers years ago one day bursts up through a street and goes on a killing rampage. Saw it on T.V. in the 1980's. At one point it attacks a dark colored car and then retreats into the sewer. In it a guy's so insensitive as to be selling real live baby 'gators. The kid of one of the characters buys one. The film ends with the scene of another real live baby gator being flushed into the sewer (and surviving the flush).

Could this only be "Alligator" (1980), Directed by Lewis Teague? If so, when will it be released on R1 DVD?

id say its definitely Alligator, its available in the UK if you can play region 2 discs, as for a region 1 release, never heard of one being announced

your right, as far as I know there's only a region 2 disc.
I heard some stuff on the net a long,long time ago that Quentin Tarrantino's company was planning a region 1 release...

but this was a couple of years back...

They had a region 1 release of it as a double feature with Alligator 2, but that's OOP now. Alligator is a superb cheese fest that never grows stale - I loved it!

While we're on the subject, didn't Tobe Hooper direct some Alligator movie?

I've not seen it in a while, but I'm going to pick it up at some point, but I forgot what its called.

He made 2 gator flicks...

The first one is called ''Eaten Alive"(it has different names) with Neville Brand as an evil hotel owner and his pet gator..cool flick

And "Crocodile"....the less said about that one the better...
