Too much great stuff for free

Just wanted to say, as someone who has been regularly coming to the site since 1998, that I appreciate all this website offers. Reviews, news, games, scripts, trailers, and the best movie message board on the internet, all in one convenient place and for free. The fact that I have to see occasional mostly non-invasive ads on the site I understand completely as something that the site has to do to make it financially even remotely worth the copious amount of time and energy the site's contributors put into it. Having to, GOD FORBID, turn off the sound, minimize, or skip an advertisement to return to all the wonderful shite that this website offers is such a small inconvenience, much less than having to sit through commercials of several minutes after I PAY to see a movie in theaters, that I wanted to point out that it doesn't bother me or deter me in the least from visiting this site practically every day.

Just seems that half of this particular forum is people bitching about the ads and I'm a little sick of it. Wanted to throw some much-deserved praise the way of Big Man & Co.

When I first started to visit the site regularly I bitched about the adds.

I was a wee boy then, with a wee mindframe and a wee wee-wee. I didn't know that hosting a web site actually costs money...

I don't mind the adds now at all, every once and a while i link to them and buy shite the the sake of keeping the B upper cased in JoBlo.

I don't mind the ads so much as long as they don't fuck up what I'm doing and cover the entire screen or something stupid like that, which is what MOST people complain about (or should be complaining about). Though I do see where you’re coming from Q, and I probably have to agree with you on most of your points.

Thanks Quentin! I wish we received more comments like this every now and again, to balance off a lot of the complaints and such, but I understand that's life, and most people (even myself) take things/people for granted whenever they're around for so long.

That said, we ARE human, we all work VERY HARD on this site and it's always sweet to hear positive things said about the site and our work on it, so thanks a bunch for that!
